About the Astoria Armory

World Class Venue with Neighborhood Feel

The Astoria Armory has hosted some of biggest names in entertainment since it was built in 1941. Originally used mainly as a USO venue, it has seen a diversity of performance from Bob Hope to Richard Nixon to Buffalo Springfield!

Now, the Armory is on it's way back to its former glory and beyond! It already hosts many local events and community services. And with the ongoing restoration of this historic venue, we are looking forward to presenting world-class rock concerts and trade shows.

So keep your eyes on us! You can find all of our upcoming events on our Calendar, and get periodic newsletters by joining our Armory mailing list. And be sure to like us on Facebook.

The Restoration

Bringing Back an Astoria Legend

The Friends of the Astoria Armory is a group of community members who are in the process of restoring this incredible landmark and transforming it into a community and events center. Much progress has been made since FOAA took possession of the Armory in 2014. Quality programs that serve youth and the community at large languished during the pandemic. In July 2021 roller skating was resumed. FOAA is now actively recruiting volunteers to bring the facility back to life with programs and services. Please consider joining us, and keep checking back to our site for more exciting developments in the near future!
